Lotte Steffens
Following medical studies at the University of Otago in Dunedin, Lotte completed RANZCR Clinical Radiology training in Christchurch.
She then pursued a one-year fellowship specialising in abdominal and oncologic imaging, before commencing an appointment as consultant radiologist at Te Whatu Ora - Waitaha/Canterbury.
Having cultivated a passion for molecular imaging, Lotte went on to undertake two years of formal training in nuclear medicine, becoming New Zealand’s first advanced trainee in this field. Her subspecialty interests include abdominal and oncologic imaging, as well as nuclear medicine, with a particular focus on oncologic PET/CT and radioligand therapy.
Lotte is dedicated to advancing molecular imaging within Aotearoa/New Zealand. She is a newly appointed committee member of RANZCR NZ Branch, and a member of numerous professional bodies, including AANMS, EANM, SNMMI, and ANZSNM.
